The Recruiting Process

Brilla JUNIORS is here to help and assist in any way through this process. We'll give you a push here and there, but it is important that you take ownership of this process. At the end of all the talk and advice, YOU are the one who will make the decision.

Here is a timeline of the process, from your Freshman to Senior Year

  • Freshman Year
    • Play on a club level team
    • Focus on grades
    • Focus on improving as a soccer player
    • Watch live college soccer
    • Participate in Extracurricular school activities
    • Meet with school advisor to make sure you take correct classes
    • Attend ID camps to gain experience - Brilla ID Camp February
  • Sophomore year
    • Play on a club level team
    • Continue focus on grades - GPA
    • Sign up for the PSAT
    • Begin a list of schools you are interested in and research them - Soccer, Academic, Social
    • Create a player profile
    • Meet with your coach/College advisor to discuss your options and thoughts
    • Attend ID camps - Brilla ID Camp February
  • Junior Year
    • Play on a club level team
    • Attend Showcases
    • Attend College ID camps - Brilla ID Camp February
    • Update Player Profile
    • Meet with Player Pathway Director
    • Take ACT/SAT tests
    • Maintain grades - GPA
    • Narrow your list of colleges to under 10
    • Begin visits to schools - Through team coach if necessary
    • Register with Eligibility Centers
    • Watch Live College Soccer games
  • Senior Year
    • Play on a club level team
    • Attend Showcases
    • Attend College ID camps - Brilla ID Camp February
    • Update Player Profile
    • Meet with Player Pathway Director
    • Watch College Soccer games
    • Retake ACT/SAT tests - As many times as necessary
    • Narrow your list to a shortlist
    • Visit Schools on your shortlist
    • Apply to schools on your shortlist
    • Make a commitment
    • Send your transcripts to future school
    • Sign a National Letter of Intent
